A good Northwest day, rain, fog and water. This was taken from the Amtrak train on the way to Eugene to see Sam Abell’s photographs of the Amazon River at the University of Oregon.
I have been working on a series of photographs, “36 Views of Mount Rainier”. This is an example. I am inspired by the great Japanese artist, Hokusai, who made two series of ukiyo-e wood cuts of Mt. Fuji.
Here is a Walker Evans look alike that I photographed in 2004. I don’t think that Walker Evans came to Montana, but if he had, he would have liked this building.
